**You'll be responsible for**
- Support and execute the on time and high-quality delivery of planned audits, assess business area under review, including key business risk and general control environment.
- Prepare high quality, value-adding, internal audit reports with findings to be presented to the senior management and the chief audit executive.
- Build and maintain high quality relationships with business stakeholders and engage and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Support and execute all aspects of audit engagement, including planning, risk mandated AAL internal audit policy and procedures and international standards of internal auditing. Audit engagements could include assessments of projects, culture and behaviors, and IT.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual internal audit plan and the five-year audit plan.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory developments.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline with relevant accreditation (e.g. / Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- Demonstrated relevant audit experience with exposure to assessment of risk and controls gained in a complex, Insurance/ Financial Services or major Consulting organisation. Specific insurance audit experience will be highly regarded.
- Clear understanding of the three lines of defense model and of its strategic business context while looking at the processes from a strategic point of view.
- Understanding of the IT, digital and data landscape and virtual processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence.
