Our Payment Acceptance team helps businesses accept payments easily and securely. Within this team, the Strategy & Propositions group focuses on creating tailored client solutions and strategic product marketing propositions that support growth and help us stay ahead in the market.

You’ll be part of a small, high-performing team within a Centre of Excellence, reporting to the Chapter Area Lead - Strategy & Propositions. You’ll collaborate across the Payment Acceptance domain to drive innovation and impact.

**Your Impact**:
We’re looking for a **Strategy & Propositions Manager**to join our Payment Acceptance team. In this role, you’ll work closely with product managers, sales teams, marketing, and technical pre-sales to shape our go-to-market strategy and respond to customer needs.

You’ll analyse market trends, evaluate competitive offerings, and help define the value of our propositions—ensuring they deliver strong commercial outcomes and meet customer expectations. You’ll also play a key role in responding to RFPs and shaping our future roadmap across all customer segments, from small businesses to large institutions.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Stay on top of market and competitor trends to help prioritise and shape our propositions.
- Partner with frontline, product, and marketing teams to craft compelling responses to RFPs, ensuring we meet customer needs with technically sound solutions.
- Identify gaps in our current offerings and help shape the strategic roadmap.
- Support product teams with research, business cases, and financial modelling to ensure strong ROI on new propositions.
- Represent CommBank at internal and external forums, always upholding our values and reputation.Follow our Code of Conduct, which guides the behaviour and decisions we expect from all our people.

- Demonstrated experience in strategy, payments, or merchant services—consulting experience is a plus.
- Strong background in sales or technical pre-sales, with a solid understanding of the tech and payments industry.
- Experience in e-commerce and in-person payment solutions—bonus if you’ve worked in sectors like retail, hospitality, education, transit, or health.
- A customer-first mindset—you’re passionate about understanding and solving for customer needs.
- Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills—you can turn insights into action.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- A proactive, results-driven attitude and a desire to keep learning.A solid understanding of merchant industry dynamics, risks, and regulations.
