We’re seeking a **dedicated and hands-on Venue Manager** to oversee all aspects of one of JB Alliance’s premier dining venues and bar in the heart of Carina, QLD. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for everything from stock control, wages, training, and staffing to venue presentation, and organizing group bookings and functions. Working closely with the Directors, you’ll ensure the venue operates at the highest standard of service and efficiency while maintaining its outstanding reputation.
**What You’ll Be Doing**:
- **Day to day operations**: Work alongside your team to ensure smooth operations and excellent service. Manage all matters related to the venue, including stock control, wages, and staffing levels.
- **Staff leadership**: Hire, train, and appraise staff to build a high-performing team.
- **Operational excellence**: Monitor and optimize KPIs such as customer numbers, customer spend, food costs, labour costs, and Google reviews.
- **Guest experience**: Coordinate group bookings and functions, ensuring smooth execution and exceptional service.
- **Menu creation**: Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and maintain a menu and special menus that reflects the venue’s reputation.
- **Inventory and purchasing**: Manage ordering, par levels, and budgets to ensure cost efficiency.
- **Venue presentation**: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and ambiance.
- **Collaboration**: Work with Directors and support other JB Alliance venues when required.
- **Reporting**: Provide regular updates to the Group Manager and Directors on performance and key operational metrics.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- 3+ years of hands-on management experience in hospitality, as an Assistant Manager or Venue Manager with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and appraise a team to maintain high standards.
- Strong understanding of stock control, wages, menu planning, and group bookings/functions.
- Results-driven mindset with a thorough understanding of hospitality KPIs and operational management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a passion for maintaining a positive team culture.

Pay: $60,728.68 - $70,793.44 per year
