**About our Opportunity**

The National Timber Procurement Manager will oversee the procurement of timber products for our nationwide operations, with 22 of our sites consuming timber, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact on VENTORA's success. Working closely with the International Timber Procurement Lead, you'll be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with timber suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices while adhering to relevant regulations and sustainability standards.

What you'll do:

- Support all aspects of Australian timber acquisition, ensuring a consistent supply to meet VENTORA's production demands.
- Develop and manage strong relationships with key timber suppliers, fostering collaboration and best practices.
- Leverage your expertise in timber species, performance, and negotiation to secure cost-effective and timely supplies.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining procurement processes and optimizing timber purchasing costs.
- Oversee in-market delivery programs, prioritizing service level, safety, and performance throughout the timber supply chain.
- Ensure VENTORA adheres to all relevant Australian building codes and regulations.

**About You**

We are looking for a Procurement Manager who has the ability to influence and lead change in the business, who can identify key stakeholders, drive change through value proposition with the ability to navigate any objections, experience in change management is a must. A background in the timber industry with an in-depth knowledge of timber species and performance being highly regarded, we are however open to someone who has at least 5 years experience in procurement management in at least two different categories i.e. hardware. Naturally a people person with the ability to influence, your strengths will be your high level of communication skills.

You have/are:

- Tertiary qualifications in Inventory/Procurement e.g. APICS or CIPS along with Accounting, Business, Commerce or equivalent, desirable.
- Skilled negotiator in securing high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Strong understanding of best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and cost optimisation.
- Collaborative leader who can build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
