**The Company**

Our client is one of world’s leading and most successful food manufacturing businesses with multiple manufacturing sites operating world-wide. They also have a national footprint of sites within Australia and have been providing a wide range of a high-quality products that have been enjoyed by Australians for generations. This opportunity is to Head up the Operations for one of their key product category's leading circa 1,000 people and reporting into the Executive General Manager.

**The Role**

Leading this operation, your responsibilities will include:

- Support and leading a team of approximately 1,000 staff across the entire operation from raw materials through to finished product to achieve/exceed KPI’s.
- Educate, coach, and develop to create high performing teams in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Manage all operational costs and metrics regarding production output, quality & safety, transport & logistics, time available, labour requirements & planned production.
- Support commercial and marketing partners in the delivery of new products and new business opportunities for the growth of the business.
- Manage and report business targets and metrics including financial performance.

**Your Background**

To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience:

- Extensive operations leadership experience, responsible for leading large manufacturing teams in the food manufacturing industry.
- A strong leadership background and skill set, with an ability to coach and develop managers to lead groups to deliver excellent results.
- Proven experience in LEAN manufacturing and delivering change as well as implementing continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, coaching, consultation, and negotiation skills with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders as well as being able to connect with people at different levels.
