**This opportunity**
Reporting to the GM of Commercial, Enterprise, Government & Wholesale, this role will be responsible for the various sales operational and pricing activities required to win an opportunity from start to finish. From commission design, to bid management, commercial support on pricing decisions and dashboard reporting by channels, this role will take full ownership to ensure the process is seamless, data-driven and customer focused, closely collaborating with our sales, finance and business intelligence teams.
This role will lead, grow and mentor a team of diverse backgrounds, skills and experiences, and will also work closely with senior leaders across the organisation. The role will take decisions for the benefit of our diverse customers, impacting the bottom line of our company, and of course the countless internal teams working with the commercial pricing teams.
**Responsibilities**
- Leading the commission management process by performing annual scheme review and redesign where required across all our direct and indirect channels; reviewing sales and revenue targeting and respective sales performance
- Leading and driving efficiencies of the Bid Management process by ensuring all bids qualified objectively and managed via a tiered structure
- Leading the pricing process of standard and non-standard deals/products by
- Defining, implementing and continually improving our overarching pricing strategies - allowing us to win locally taking customer preferences and competitive positioning into account
- Using analytics, evidence and learnings to make day-to-day pricing decisions, considering trade-offs vs. multiple objectives.
- Driving pricing projects to contribute to our strategy of generating top and bottom-line revenue growth impact.
- Leading the design of campaign incentives across relevant channels, conducting PIRs to determine effectiveness and key learnings
- Leading the insights on market/competitor trends, sales performance on pipeline, closed sales, win/loss, etc through to trading performance of key products (new connects and churn)
- Leading the administrative services of our direct sales force including activities such as ordering assistance, service qualifications, customer account assistance, etc.
- Lead, mentor and empower a team of 5 direct reports and overall team of 20
**Knowledge and experience**
- 10+ years of commercial/sales operations experience, preferably within telco.
- Excellent business acumen skills ideally gained in an ecommerce environment with strong knowledge about the relevant KPIs and their financial implications.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to transform data/insights into strategies putting the customer to the spotlight of our actions.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to draft compelling strategies (in close alignment with multiple and diverse stakeholders).
- Dynamic leader & strong team player (+10 years of leadership experience) combined with strong problem-solving skills in a highly dynamic and complex environment.
- Outstanding influencing skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication.
