**Real Estate Pointer Board Signage Installer - Seeking Retired, Semi Retired or Student Contractor**

The Pointer People provide pointer board and auction day services to numerous Real Estate Agencies throughout metropolitan Melbourne.

**About the Role**

We are looking for a reliable independent contractor to join our team to manage the installation of real estate pointer boards. You will need to be available 1-2 weekdays per week only. The position requires you to put up small lightweight real estate pointer boards on street corners in the **Eastern suburbs of Melbourne**.

The East suburbs territory covers from **Mount Waverley to Croydon.**You will start each day collecting signs and materials that you will need for the day from our warehouse located in **Mount Waverley**. Pointer boards are lightweight corflute boards (450x600mm) and easily fit into the boot of a small vehicle.

The boards assist in marketing properties for sale for the agents. A key requirement of the position is seeking permission to place these boards on private property, and this requires you to **knock on doors and interact with homeowners**.

As a contractor you will be paid on a per job basis ranging from $22 to $34 per job (inclusive of super) depending on job requirements. Experienced installers can complete 10-12 jobs per day. The number of jobs varies from week to week depending on the property market conditions. New starters can expect to take 3-4 months to become sufficiently experienced to achieve a high level of efficiency.

**Eligibility & Experience**
- You must have a current drivers license and provide your own vehicle with comprehensive motor insurance
- Ideally you will already have an ABN to provide your service as a contractor
- You must provide your own installation tools. No specialised equipment is necessary. Tools include a cordless drill, mallet, and a phone to take and upload photos of job completion
- Experience is not necessary, but you must enjoy working autonomously, outdoors, and interacting with people. Whilst no selling is required, you must be comfortable with door knocking. Excellent verbal communication skills are essential, and taking ownership and pride in your workmanship will see you excel in this role
- An interest or work experience in real estate is an advantage. This position is ideal for active retirees or semi-retirees who have spare time to put that towards earning some extra cash.
- This role is not ideal for someone who is looking for a primary source of income / job as the volume of work is not consistent and as a contractor you are only paid for the jobs you complete
- Only applicants located within or near the service areas will be considered
- Flexibility to travel to different suburbs in Melbourne's East & South East is an advantage and you may be able to take on additional work if you are prepared to travel to other suburbs

**Job Type**: Subcontract

Pay: Up to $270.00 per day
