**Overview**

This position is responsible for a range of superannuation and administration activities which are part of the Defined Benefits team, relating to the administration of our clients Superannuation products.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that the clients/members are receiving the desired level of administration service within Link’s agreement with Trustees. The role will primarily involve processing and peer reviewing of Life Time Defined Benefit Pensions, complex problem solving, working collaboratively with Team Leader, Operations Manager and other team members.

**Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities**
- Process and peer review defined benefits payments
- Liaise with our client member services contact center
- Liaise with clients in your manager’s absence
- Liaise with off-shore administration teams with regard to benefit payments
- Support Team Leader/Manager together with your other team members in fostering day-to-day collaboration and positive teamwork to ensure that your teams’ objectives are achieved
- Take responsibility for administration issues - manage through to implementation within agreed time frames
- Comply with legislative (eg AML, SIS) and licence (eg AFSL, RSE) obligations, including the maintenance of up-to-date self-development of required skills and scheme/fund knowledge.
- In relation to your role, you meet or exceed service standards under the schemes/fund SLAs at least 98% of the time. However you should be working towards 100% as per our contractual obligations with the trustees
- Take action on all work related matters with mínimal escalation to your Team Leader/Manager
- Identify or suggest productivity or process improvements
- Maximise efficiency by ensuring you have mínimal errors or corrections, to prevent rework
- Show initiative for project work

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Extensive hands on experience in the administration of benefit payments (minimum of 5 years)
- Comprehensive knowledge of superannuation legislation and procedures
- Experience with the complex principles of defined benefits is desirable
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Word and Excel skills
- Ability to think laterally
- Experience in the financial services industry

Desirable Qualifications
- Business degree or relevant experience
- ASFA Certificate / Diploma of Superannuation Management
- RG146 compliant
