Now Hiring Parts and Service Writer
D&W is looking for a full-time onsite Parts and Service Writer FOR OUR TRUCK AND TRAILER FLEET to join our team at our D&W Forwarders Inc. location in Hawkesbury, Ontario. The primary function of this role is to ensure that parts and supplies needed for our fleet repair shop is available for mechanics. The Service Writer also records information and maintains the assets repair history.

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE FOCUSING ON:
- Managing vehicle parts inventory and supplies in the shop.
- Scheduling regular maintenance including Preventive Maintenance services.
- Maintaining service records.
- Creating a schedule that includes appointments for a day and assign Mechanics to the jobs based on skills and vehicle knowledge.
- Monitoring the status of work in progress and warranty work orders to ensure timely completion, according to deadlines.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Must have a High secondary school diploma with some training or experience in auto repair.
- Must have a basic understanding of truck and trailer components.
- Must have a basic understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Analytical thinker with strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Good work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Bilingual with French preferred but not mandatory.
