**Purpose of the role**:
The Superannuation Trustee Office (STO) advises and supports the Trustee Board in strategic planning, governance and managing outsourced arrangements, including those within the AMP Group. It also handles risk management, regulatory engagement, and identity. The STO collaborates closely with AMP Group units that manage daily operations and corporate support functions.

The Head of Outsourcing is crucial in AMP’s superannuation business, reviewing and analysing the Trustee’s outsourcing arrangements to ensure regulatory compliance and effectiveness. This role manages outsourcing risks, communicates with stakeholders and liaises between the Trustee, AMP business teams and regulators, influencing senior stakeholders including non-executive directors and AMP executives.

**How will you make an impact**
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing outsourcing contracts to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and align with the Trustee’s strategic objectives.
- Review and verify that all outsourcing arrangements adhere to relevant laws, regulations and industry standards and as part of the process maintain an audit trail of compliance checks and findings.
- Coordinate benchmarking analysis to compare the Trustee’s outsourcing arrangements against best practice and peers and identify improvements and recommend process enhancements to boost performance and compliance.
- Contribute to the development and updating of policies and procedures related to outsourcing arrangements and assist the Trustee and the STE in identifying and managing conflicts of interest and/or duty.
- Liaise and negotiate with internal and external service providers on behalf of the STE or the Trustee, ensuring alignment with strategic, commercial, and regulatory requirements while working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including legal and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
- Oversee the operations of the Trustee Board Audit Committee and act as a key contact point between the STE and relevant stakeholders, including finance, tax, internal audit, and external auditors.
- Prepare detailed reports on outsourcing arrangement reviews, including findings, risk assessments and recommendations and present reports to the Trustee of senior management including comprehensive market insights to inform decision making.
- Understand and respond to regulatory requests and changes related to the Trustee’s outsourcing arrangements including monitoring the market development relating to superannuation and regulatory matters.
- Manage and oversee the Trustee’s contractual agreements, including the management of Outsourcing (APRA Prudential Standards CPS230 and SPS 231) and performance reporting of service providers.
- On behalf of the Trustee and the STE, provide advice and guidance on the Trustee’s expenditure and capital management including liaising with relevant stakeholders in Finance and TaxManage key projects to support the Trustee’s strategic objectives.

- Proven track record at a senior management level in a financial services environment
- Exceptional knowledge of and experience in superannuation products and insurance in superannuation, and appreciation of superannuation fund governanceExceptional knowledge of and experience with operational risk management and trustee obligations in a financial services environment
