ARB is seeking a talented Workshop Manager to join our well-established store in Canberra. The branch consists of a retail store and a fitting workshop, and is responsible for servicing our retail and wholesale customers within the Fyshwick area.
Applicants will possess great mechanical skills and have a sound knowledge of automotive fitting principles, auto electrics and possess a current drivers licence. This position will require you to fit ARB parts and accessories to 4WD vehicles and to manage a team of Accessory Fitters in a busy workshop.
**General responsibilities include**:
- Supervising the fitting of a very broad range of automotive aftermarket accessories to a wide range of both off-road and recreational passenger and trade vehicles.
- Final fitment inspections prior to delivery of vehicles back to the customer.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and timely manner, with the greatest respect for our customers vehicles.
- Working closely with our branch retail team, to ensure that all work is carried out on time, and to our customer's expectations.
- Organising regular in-service skill training for the fitting team.
- Highly developed automotive workshop supervisory skills, including an energetic and inspirational style.
- Well-developed automotive fitting and/or mechanical skills obtained in either a workshop or panel beater.
- Ideally some auto electrical skills, experience or knowledge.
- A very strong customer service ethic, and the ability to work as a member of the team.
