**Care Worker**

South West Community Care is a leading Aged Care Provider servicing Harvey, Australind, Eaton and surrounds. We are looking for qualified Care Workers to join our team.

The purpose of this position is to provide care and support to assist consumers to retain or regain independence, encourage them to do as much as possible for themselves, promote and monitor the consumers overall wellbeing. You must also read, understand and follow the directions in the consumers care plan.

We are looking for Care Workers who are passionate and have a genuine interest in Aged Care. This role involves visiting consumers in their own homes and providing services that include:

- Personal care
- Domestic assistance
- Meal preparation
- Assist with medication
- Social support

**Selection Criteria**
- Essential Requirements:_
- Current ‘C’ Class drivers licence
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
- Current HLTAID011 Provide first aid Statement of Attainment (or willing to obtain)
- Current National Police Clearance, no older than six months (or willing to obtain)
- Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical examination including a supervised drug and alcohol screening
- Reliable roadworthy vehicle, with current insurance and registration
- Own a Smart Phone with a sufficient plan to support it and sufficient data.
