**Home Maintenance Worker**

South West Community Care is a leading Aged Care Provider with offices in Harvey and Australind, servicing across the Shires of Waroona, Harvey, Dardanup, Capel and City of Bunbury. We are looking to expand our Home Maintenance team.

**About the position**:
South West Community Care are seeking a Home Maintenance Worker to be employed on a permanent part time contract, 67.5 hours (9-day) per fortnight. This worker will be required to work across all service areas.

The purpose of this position is to assist with garden maintenance and minor home maintenance to consumer's homes, gardens and/or yards, to maintain safety, independence and access for the consumer within their home.

The successful applicant will be fit and healthy with the capacity to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

**Our Home Maintenance Workers provide services to Consumers, which can include**:

- Mowing lawn
- Trimming edges
- Weeding
- Light gardening
- Pruning shrubs
- Clearing pathways
- Removing yard rubbish that presents a hazard to consumers
- Working at height related repairs or cleaning for consumer health and safety
- Undertake Home Hazard Checks and Service Request Forms as needed for consumers
- Report any changes to the consumer’s and/or carer’s situation, condition or ability to manage

**Essential Criteria**
- Current ‘C’ Class manual drivers licence
- Current HLTAID003 Provide first aid Statement of Attainment
- Current National Police Clearance, no older than six months
- Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical examination
- Own a Smart Phone with a sufficient plan to support it and sufficient data
- Willingness to undertake duties that relate to any other level lower than this position

**Desirable Criteria**
- Current Influenza vaccination
- Current COVID-19 vaccination
- Experience working for a community based organisation
