QA Lead

**The Role**:
We’re looking for an experienced QA Lead to hold a leadership role within Medibank’s Digital Platforms & Engineering team. Reporting directly to the QA Practice Lead this role carries the responsibility of leading a team of QA Engineers to undertake all quality engineering activities required to deliver technology solutions that meet the business needs.

This role sits firmly within our Enterprise testing space amongst the SAP system squad. You will be required to work on the end-to-end core systems activities in the Finance & Treasury Module. You will be expected to undertake testing activities required to deliver high-quality technology solutions as well as enhance test modelling techniques and QA best practices.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Take charge of developing and maintaining partnerships within the business, fostering collaboration with external stakeholders.
- Coordinate end-to-end Testing activities, predominantly in the finance module.
- Responsible for the testing of IT solutions within the team to ensure they meet business requirements and comply with all relevant standards.
- Accountable for managing the design, implementation, and execution of end-to-end testing activities within the platform teams, across divisions.
- Collaborate with other QA Leads, Engineering Managers and Engineering Leads to ensure that a test-driven approach is taken to in execution. Implement and optimise practices that ensure defects are caught early in the development / test lifecycle.
- Take part in the recruitment, selection and management of a team of QA Engineers across the QA group, providing leadership, mentoring and career development for software engineers.
- Participate in the Non-Functional requirements definition for initiatives within the squads.
- Plan, create and implement an automated E2E integrated testing pipeline.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that test approaches are aligned to CI/CD and platform development capabilities.
- Facilitate platform teams monitoring and managing the completion of each initiative due to be delivered by a release and coordinating the testing and sign off on key business outcomes.
- Champion and improve our way of working across the team.
- Drives continuous improvement and constantly demonstrates a capability improvement mindset.

**About You**:

- Experienced in leading the core systems testing activity, managing defects with 5+ business users.
- Proven experience with SAP QA/UAT cycles ensuring smooth planning and execution.
- Experienced working in a mature CI/CD environment with high focus on test automation.
- Experience working in scaled agile environment and a background in hands-on testing.
- Extensive experience in test and release methodologies and processes.
- Experience working across multiple test automation tools.
- Proven ability to operate and deliver in large, complex and dynamic environments.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic program environment.
- Ability to manage key stakeholder interests whilst at the same time managing conflicting priorities and business interests.
- Ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively with clients, stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a cross-team environment.
