We are currently seeking a reliable and energetic Casual Sales Assistant to join our team, with a focus on assisting with the heavy lifting and handling of rugs.

We are looking for a motivated Casual Sales Assistant with some experience in rugs, carpets, flooring, window furnishings or homewares to help us deliver outstanding customer service while managing the physical demands of our products. In this role, you will assist customers in finding the perfect items for their homes and be actively involved in the handling, moving, and placement of heavy rugs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service**: Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, helping them select rugs, carpets, flooring, window furnishings and homewares that suit their needs.
- **Product Handling**: Efficiently and safely lift, move, and position heavy rugs and carpets, ensuring proper storage and display.
- **Sales Support**: Assist in maintaining an organised and appealing store environment, including restocking and rearranging products as needed.
- **Inventory Management**: Help with inventory control tasks such as receiving shipments, checking stock levels, and ensuring that products are correctly labelled.
- **Visual Merchandising**: Contribute to setting up and maintaining attractive product displays that highlight our range of rugs, carpets, flooring, window furnishings and homewares.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably with a focus on rugs, carpets, flooring, window furnishings or homewares.
- Ability to handle and lift rugs safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Basic understanding of home decor and product features related to rugs and flooring is a plus.
- Physical stamina and strength to manage the demands of the role, including lifting and moving of large items safely.
