**_ Due to expanding operations at our Ingleburn facility, we are looking for experienced, trade qualified Mechanical Fitter, to join our Maintenance Team._**

This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy confectionary manufacturing facility. The role is based at Ingleburn on day shift, Monday through Friday. There are also additional overtime opportunities available.

This role reports to the Production Shift Manager, with the primary objective to assist in the implementation of all preventative and corrective maintenance on complex machinery.

Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

- Providing reactive and preventative mechanical maintenance and service to all plant and machinery.
- Troubleshooting and providing hands on solutions for repairs and modifications.
- Liaising with the Maintenance Manager to schedule planned maintenance
- Ordering parts as required and dealing with suppliers and contractors
- Installations and removal of plant and machinery
- Perform various welding - manual, gas, tungsten, arc
- Perform safety checks and inspections
- Fitting, assembly and commissioning of mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Fault finding, diagnosis and problem solving
- Maintenance and repair of workshop equipment, machinery, and components
- Maintenance of different systems, electrical, mechanical, Steam, pneumatic, electronic buildings, and grounds
- Understanding of Facilities maintenance, eg Boilers, compressors, Cooling towers

What will you bring to the role:

- Prior food manufacturing experience is essential
- A strong Safety cultures
- Trade certificate in Mechanical fitting
- Forklift ticket
- Welding experience
- Experience working within FMCG & high-speed packaging
- Experience with weigh head and packaging equipment
- Knowledge of food safety
- Confined space certification
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Fault finding and diagnostic experience
