About the Role

With multiple positions available this permanent, full-time role will be based at our Bayswater Power Station in the Hunter Valley, NSW.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Perform routine and unplanned maintenance, minimising breakdown time and ensuring reliability of plant and equipment- Fault-find, identify and resolve issues with plant and equipment- Plan and organise tasks and manage own workload within reasonable expectations- Actively contribute to knowledge and skill development within the team- Supervise apprentice on-the-job training, ensuring standard and quality of work are assessed and maintained- Assess and initiate appropriate safety checks

About You

With an exemplary safety record you will be a team player, highly motivated and dedicated to achieving a high standard of work.

To be successful, you’ll have:
- Electrical trade qualifications and a current electrical licence. Advanced qualifications are highly desirable- Strong safety awareness and proven safety record- Experience in a heavy industry environment and high voltage- Hazardous area certification and experience is highly regarded- The ability to work well in a team environment and independently- A positive approach to supporting and coaching apprentices- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders on technical matters- Adaptable to adjust to competing work priorities- Experienced in the use of MS Office products and an integrated IT System and CMMS such as SAP- Willingness and the ability to work reasonable overtime hours as required
