**About the role**

As the Food and Beverage Team Leader you will report to the F&B Manager. The F&B Team Leader is responsible for the FOH F&B operation ensuring a superior guest experience. This role operates across all F&B areas, however there will be a significant focus on the successful planning and execution of events. This includes but is not limited to room set up, client liaison, complaint resolution, event service, room turnover and pack down of events.

The F&B Team Leader will have ability to manage events from several small corporate events and work as part of team for large concerts and catered events. The F&B Team Leader will work closely with the F&B Manager/Venue Manager and kitchen staff to ensure the client receives a seamless experience. The F&B Team Leader will also work in all other F&B outlets ensuring service standards are achieved.

**Key Duties**- Lead, mentor and train the F&B service team ensuring a fun and energetic working environment in line with group standards.
- Be actively involved in the day-to-day running F&B and event operations.
- Assist and ensure that the setup of the function rooms is as described in Banquet Event Orders (BEO).
- Ensure all staff are briefed and complete their duties in line with BEO, bistro/bar operations and as described in sequence of service SOPs..
- Co-ordinate closely with Chef/BOH staff and have a clear understanding of food offered and special diets/allergies.
- Respond to any requests or complaints from guests with tact, sincerity and efficiency.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts in a rotating roster with a “can do” attitude.
- Keep track of F&B operating equipment to ensure par level for smooth operations.
- Ensure that all service and storage areas FOH and BOH are kept safe and clean every day and locked.
- Follow and comply with all safety and sanitation policies.

- Passion for events, food and bar operation
- Ability to lead F&B staff and a desire to provide an outstanding product
- Ability to set-up functions and adapt quickly to client requests
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure.
- Possess a sound level of written and oral communication skills and attention to detail
- Possess a strong work ethic
- Manage staff effectively, efficiently and conduct difficult conversations as required
