**The Role & The Team**

As a member of the Airservices Cyber Security team within the Chief Technology Enablement Office, this role enables the effective delivery of security operations capability across the organization.

This position involves supporting critical duties and responsibilities that must continue to be performed during crisis situations and contingency operations, which may at times require extended hours of work, working on weekends or working after hours. At times, interstate travel may be required.

As the Cyber Operations Analyst, you will be required to provide specialist incident threat analysis and response expertise. Working as part of a team you will contribute to successfully implement the security operations capability including incident/threat detection and response capability.

You will be required to:

- Deliver Cyber Security Incident Response activities for Airservices Australia.
- Review current technical detection and response capabilities.
- Implement tools and technologies that will allow Airservices to respond to various types of malware and threat actors, work closely with service partners to implement these technologies.
- Support security monitoring, research, assessment and analysis on enterprise security tools, SIEM, Firewalls, Antivirus systems.
- Perform initial risk assessment on new threats and vulnerabilities. Support proactive response to any potential cyber issues in line with established BAU processes.
- Security monitoring and investigating suspicious activities (threat hunting).
- Support our internal business customers with cyber related issues and queries.
- Support and contribute to delivery of information security advice and consulting services, ensuring at all times that a quality solution is being delivered.
- Investigate, document, respond and report on cyber security issues and emerging trends.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

**The Person**

As a Cyber Operations Analyst you will have:

- An inherent passion for cyber security and service excellence.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical or security support environments.
- Experience in the development and implementation of cyber defence strategies, in a large and complex organizations (IT and OT context).
- Proven experience in managing Cyber Security Incidents in complex organisations.
- Knowledge for building out and managing cyber threat detection and response capabilities for organizations, including open source and paid technologies.

Desirable attribute would be:

- ICT or information security tertiary or industry certifications.
- Cyber Security Certifications such as OSCP, GCFA, GCIH and other GIAC certifications will be highly regarded.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to set clear objectives and monitor performance.
- Security Clearance.
