**Practice Area**

We are currently looking for an associate to join the Project Finance practice in our Sydney office.

White & Case’s Project Finance Group has a worldwide reputation for helping sponsors and developers to achieve their most complex and ambitious project goals. The preeminent global law firm in this field, we offer our clients an unrivalled depth and breadth of knowledge and experience, in Australia and across the globe in all the major industrial sectors.

As an associate, you will undertake a range of logistics, communication and research tasks geared towards driving the process forwards, and ensuring that all the parties involved are aware of—and happy with—the direction of travel. You can also expect to handle a substantial amount of contractual work, reviewing ancillary and commercial documents.

**Duties and Accountabilities**

Supporting lawyers acting for top tier lenders and sponsors in connection with project, corporate and acquisition financing mandates in the energy infrastructure and resources sectors.
Assisting the closure of project, corporate and acquisition financing transactions.
Supporting the coordination of internal teams across the White & Case global offices to achieve closure of project, corporate and acquisition financing transactions.
Supporting external counsels in respect of local jurisdiction legal issues to achieve closure of project, corporate and acquisition financing transactions.
Supporting small teams to provide timely assistance/advice to White & Case top tier lender and sponsor clients.

**Qualifications and Experience Required**

Admission in Australia, England & Wales or other Common Law jurisdiction.
PQE 1 - 3
Experience in general banking finance, broad exposure preferable consisting of a combination of, project, corporate and acquisition finance, syndicated and bilateral financings (both secured and unsecured)
A good knowledge of international finance law and the analytical skill to navigate the contractual intricacies of complex, cross-border transactions;
is highly organized and deadline-focused;
is adept at managing multiple work streams and delivering flawless work within short timeframes;
is personable and works as part of a team;
is adept at building professional relationships with colleagues, clients and outside parties;
self-motivated and proactive

**Location and Reporting**

This is an Associate role based in Sydney

Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
