**Your new role**:
An excellent opportunity for a Technical Assessment Officer to work on the Anzac Class Frigates on the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) Project.
Reporting to the Engineering Assessment Manager, you will be responsible for conducting Technical Assessments of Anzac Alliance Delivery Organisation (AADO) and ANZAC System Program Office (SPO) stakeholder generated work instructions for planned and corrective maintenance.
**More specifically, this role will see you**:
- Conduct Technical and Risk Assessments of Work Instructions for the conduct of planned and corrective maintenance generated by AADO and ANZAC SPO Stakeholders as part of an Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) and on behalf of ANZAC SPO.
- Conduct engineering and technical investigations arising from Problem Identification Reports (PIRs) or requests for technical assistance.
- Develop Work Instructions to enable an authorised and competent Repair Agent (RA) to undertake required work scopes to perform planned or corrective maintenance.
- Understand and adhere to the Seaworthiness Regulatory Framework.
- Raise Request for Problem Resolution's (RPRs) in the Configuration Management Tool (CMT - Team Centre) when problems are identified with Government Furnished Information (GFI), trends indicate additional Standard Activities (SAs) should be created or existing SAs need amendment.
- Be an active member of an Integrated Project Team/s (IPT) and other planning meetings when tasked.
- Provide technical advice and support to AADO and ANZAC SPO stakeholders.
About you
**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:
- Have previously held or have an Australian Defence Clearance
- Demonstrated experience with a technical background in Mechanical/Electrical systems preferably in a maritime or defence environment.
- Knowledge of Defence Tools and Systems like Mercury, SharePoint and AMPS
- Substantial experience in the conduct of engineering installation / maintenance / repair practices within a quality framework
- Experience in the use of Asset Maintenance Planning System (AMPS) or other Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is desirable.
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against internal and or external stakeholder requirements.
Clearances
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
