The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Social Worker (Child and Youth Mental Health - Continuing Care Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Manage a highly complex caseload with clinical supervision and support
- Provide social work specific interventions and assessments
- Provide a comprehensive and flexible mental health service to children, young people and their family/carers
- Possess clinical knowledge in child and youth mental health, in order to provide education programs and mental health consultations
- Provide care delivery in a variety of hospital and community settings

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- A tertiary degree in Social Work
- Eligible for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Driver licence
- Working with children check
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Temporary full time (6 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $2 979.80 - $4 122.60 per fortnight

About Us
The Child and Youth Mental Health Service Continuing Care Team (CYMHS CCT) is a multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty team within the Gold Coast Child and Youth Mental Health Services operating across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service to provide multi-specialty mental health intervention to children and young people (0-18 years). CYMHS CCT is a single team operating over two sites (Robina and Southport) offering ongoing care coordination and therapeutic intervention for children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems. CYMHS CCT works with children, young person and their family and key stakeholders.
CYMHS endeavours to enable young people and their families to be active participants in their decision making around their care, and we promote a truly collaborative partnership between health professionals, young people and their families.
