**About the facility**
- Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
- Blakiston Lodge is a 90-bed, high level, residential aged care mental health facility which consists of two secure units of 45 aged mental health beds and 45 dementia specific beds. Residents are referred who cannot be looked after in the general aged care system due to their level of cognitive, emotional or behavioural disturbance. The goal is to improve the resident's condition so that they can be transferred to a less restrictive and more appropriate accommodation.
- Blakiston Lodge is dedicated to caring for people with dementia and mental illness and offers a safe and secure environment and quality nursing, medical and psychiatric support for residents.

**About the role**
- As a Health Care Worker in Blakiston Lodge you'll provide high quality care and services to all residents within the Specialist Dementia Care Program (SDCP). You'll provide transitional support and care for people living with very severe behavioural and psychological symptoms of Dementia, ensuring their safety, dignity, and wellbeing at every stage of care.
