Swan View, Australia Your Way Support Solutions Full time

Your Way Support Solutions is looking for passionate Disability Support Worker for a participant who is turning 30 and lives independently in Swan View. This participant is looking for someone who is female age ranging from 25-45 and is reliable, punctual, bubbly and willing to encourage motivation.

Some clients may need clear boundaries set upon the first shift, others will need gentle guidance. Your Support Manager will advise you on the best approach to take, but you will need to show initiative and gauge the best approach when unplanned issues arise.

There is possibilities of extra fill in shifts on weekends, overnight supports and weekday covers.

You must have or be willing to obtain:

- Working with Children Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Card
- Drivers License and own vehicle
- NDIS Quality & Safeguards Support Worker Orientation Module
- NDIS Quality & Safeguards Effective Communication Module
- NDIS Quality & Safeguards Mealtime Management Module
- COVID-19 Infection Prevention Training
- PPE Training
- First-Aid and CPR
- Current COVID-19 Vaccination
- Medication Training and Mental Health First Aid would be advantageous.

**Job Types**: Casual

**Salary**: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Fixed shifts
- Monday 3.30pm - 8.30 pm
- Wednesday 8.30am - 4.00pm
- Friday 4.00pm - 8.30pm

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

COVID-19 considerations:
To keep our workers safe, we are ensuring each shift is planned carefully and risks are managed before commencing a shift. We ensure all staff are provided with the PPE they need to keep themselves and their clients safe.

**Experience**:

- Supporting people with disabilities: 1 year (preferred)
- Mental Health Support (preferred)
- Diabetes Support (preferred)

License/Certification:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)

- First Aid (Preferred or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate (preferred)
- Mental Health First Aid (Preferred or willing to obtain)
- Diabetes Training (Preferred or willing to obtain)
