**About the Role - It is a Sydney based assignment that will allow suitable resources to work remotely from Melbourne, Brisbane, WA and Adelaide.**

You will be accountable for the continued development and maintenance of data reporting, data management disciplines, associated processes and to assist the executives and other data users by delivering BI outputs.

This will reflect business needs in an accurate and timely manner while bringing new and improved functionality and systems that enrich BI capabilities into service.

**In this role will include, but not be limited to**:

- Understanding, creating and amending complex SQL queries, stored procedures and other code assets
- Designing, developing, and deploying BI data solutions across the business by developing analytical reports and dashboards in a variety of reporting platforms such as PowerBI, SSRS and occasionally some Qlikview
- Sharing in driving a structured and appropriate data culture within BI & Analytics and across the wider business and group
- Help in driving and evangelising regarding PowerBI as a tool and platform in the organisation
- Synthesizing other data sources, including customer research, competitor analysis and market performance to augment analysis and quality of recommendations
- Training and guiding data consumers of all types to share with them knowledge and skills, helping them to self-serve and make best use of the BI features available

**Essential Experience**:

- Current frequent use of the MS tech stack especially SQL Server, SSRS, PowerBI and some SSIS experience would be a bonus
- 3+ years of experience of working around the MS tech stack including being comfortable to write complex SQL Scripts, maintain views, stored procedures, etc.
- Prior experience in a data analyst, product analyst or other analytical role, ideally within a Business Intelligence team
- Strong understanding of Business Intelligence, Business Process Management and other aspects of reporting/analytics
- Experience with Azure Cloud such as Azure Data pipelines, Azure SQL Database and Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Machine Learning would be an added advantage
- Have a strong technical background as well as customer-centric approach
- Excellent communication/presentation and negotiation skills
- Experience working in an Agile working environment
- Current or Prior Banking experience would be an advantage
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, Technology or other related field, or an equivalent level of work experience
