Balcombe Engineering are a well-respected manufacturer and distributor of flanges, Valves, and pressure vessel components used in the food, general industries and oil & gas

A vacancy exists for an experienced Purchasing Manager to control the purchasing function. Reporting to the General Manager you will be part of the management team and involved in a range of activities:
1.To ensure efficient, effective and timely sourcing of raw materials, imported items and other components. This involves establishing and maintaining relations with both local and international suppliers.

2.To ensure that inventory levels are maintained in line with company policy and business objectives.

3.Maintaining the purchasing component of the ISO 9001 quality system including actioning Non Conformance Reports

4.Working with the organisational wide IT system raising and expediting purchase orders taking advantage of efficiencies where they can be found.

Knowledge of metals and material certificates will be highly considered. You must also be a skilled negotiator and builder of relationships. Your ability to implement change will be a key attribute. It would be advantageous if you have had experience working with technical and engineering components and processes (mainly metals machining related), as many of our products are custom.
