**We are in need of Direct Support Workers in Ipswich and surrounding areas (**Brassall, Booval, East/West Ipswich, Raceview) with the opportunity for a permanent roster of employment.**

**Many vacant shifts are early mornings and afternoon therefore capacity to undertake some of these shifts would be an advantage.**

**Shifts available working with adults and with children.**

As a Direct Support Worker, you’ll be an integral part of the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds. You may be required to assist with:

- Providing personal care support, including showering, toileting, dressing and more
- Administering medications
- Transferring individuals using hoists and/or slide sheets, and general assistance with mobility
- Domestic duties including cleaning, laundry or meal preparation
- Community engagement, such as attending GP appointments, grocery shopping or social or recreational activities of their choice
- Before or after school support including homework, tea preparation, games

**Before you commence, you will need**:

- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- A Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities, formerly a Yellow Card)
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Commitment to infection prevention and control measures including the use of PPE as directed
- A smartphone with an iOS 13.0 and up operating system or an Android 6.0 and up operating system

Expected start date of Mandatory Trainings: Monday 28th April - Friday 2nd May
