**About the role**:
As an Optical Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in our full-scope optometry practice. You'll assist our optometrists in providing outstanding care, manage patient interactions, and ensure the smooth operation of our practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team and make a genuine difference in the lives of our patients.
- Full-time position (Saturdays may be included)
- Brand new premises at UFS Eye Care Sturt St

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage patient appointments and records
- Provide excellent customer service and patient support
- Assist patients with selection and education on the lens options and choices recommended by the prescribing Optometrist
- Assist patients and customers in purchasing of spectacle frames, sunglasses, magnifiers and sundry items
- Arrange and maintain displays of optical merchandise

**What We’re Looking For**:
**Mandatory**:

- Demonstrated experience in a retail/sales environment
- Computer literacy and basic administration skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience in an optical or healthcare setting is a plus
