JBS Australia’s Southern Division has the largest multi-species processing facility in Australia processing beef, sheep, and goats based in Melbourne. We also have five other facilities across New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania and has access to all major international markets, providing our livestock suppliers with a range of markets and brand opportunities. Operates six beef, lamb, and multi-species processing facilities across four states.
With approximately 8,500 employees spread across our offices, processing plants and feedlots, JBS Australia exports to more than 50 countries around the world.
**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity exists at our Brooklyn facility for an experienced Recruitment Consultant. We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual who is committed to providing an effective service. This is a full-time position with annual salary not less than $76,515.00 plus superannuation.
Responsibilities included not limited to:
- arranging for advertising of job vacancies, interviewing and testing of applicants, and selection of staff
- maintaining personnel records and associated human resource information systems
- and procedures, staff performance and disciplinary matters
- arranging the induction of staff and providing information on conditions of service, salaries and promotional opportunities
- receiving and recording job vacancy information from employers such as details about job description, wages and conditions of employment
- providing information on current job vacancies in the organisation to employers and job seekers
- undertaking negotiations on terms and conditions of employment, and examining and resolving disputes and grievances
- studying and interpreting legislation, awards, collective agreements and employment contracts, wage payment systems and dispute settlement procedures
- developing, planning and formulating enterprise agreements or collective contracts such as productivity-based wage adjustment procedures, workplace relations policies and programs, and procedures for their implementation
- overseeing the formation and conduct of workplace consultative committees and employee participation initiatives
- providing advice and information to management on workplace relations policies
About you
- Tertiary qualifications (or as a minimum, Diploma) in HR or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience (ideally 5 years) of generalist HR experience
- Demonstrated ability in managing varied and conflicting demands to agreed standards and timelines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service orientation
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, whilst also being a collaborative team member
- Highly proactive, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and generally technologically savvy
