Position: Netbackup Administrator

Location: Sydney

**Job Description**
- Manage/ Administer Veritas NetBackup environment.
- Maintains and monitors NetBackup servers and virtual and physical enterprise.
- Manage client upgrades and troubleshooting, restores, adhoc backups.
- Performs daily routine maintenance, i.e. review NetBackup Advance reporting
- Perform NetBackup database maintenance, perform storage pool maintenance
- A strong background with backup systems, both hardware and software is required. Maintains and monitors Backup servers.
- Responsible for maintaining backup standards, building backup policies, creating backup schedules and monitoring of backup progress. - Experience with NetBackup in a large multi-platform environment including NBU v8.x and above, SSO, Master/media server and client configurations
- Experience installing, configuring, supporting and maintaining enterprise backups in a large data centre environment
- Experience with support, troubleshooting and problem resolution for tape backup and SAN environments - Plans, schedules and performs proactive maintenance, including hardware and software (Veritas NetBackup) upgrades and patch installation on Windows/Unix platforms. Manage, troubleshoot issues with Master and Media servers, NetBackup Software and appliances.
- Performs backup environment system tuning including monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing performance.
- Responsible for working with clients to determine backup needs, solution designing,
- **infrastructure migration**.
- Strong knowledge of Veritas Products Master\Media server deployments in Cloud Instance.
- Good knowledge of Network.
- Good knowledge of VMware Vcenter.
- Good knowledge of Hyper-V.**REQUIREMENTS**:

- At least 7-10 years’ experience Data Centre Backup and Storage Solutions.
- Must have advanced experience in Troubleshooting, Restore, Backup, Tape Management via **Veritas NetBackup.**
- Knowledgeable in SAN structure, Data Protector File Systems Backup and Database Integration.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong Migration Experience of Backup Infrastructure across DCs. - Strong knowledge of backup data replication/duplication across DCs, On-Prem to Cloud.
- Strong knowledge in NetBackup Appliance and management. - Strong knowledge of Veritas NetBackup Hybrid Backup solution. - Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure and integrating it with backup solution. Preferred Microsoft Azure.
- Strong knowledge of managing NetBackup workload deployed on Microsoft Azure Cloud Instance.
- Good knowledge of creating HLD & LLD of backup infrastructure. - Additional Experience with other backup products will be an advantage. Preferred Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Vault..

**Salary**: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
