We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Equipment service technician to join our team at MD Engineering solutions.

As a service technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance and repairs of equipment used in healthcare facilities throughout Hobart.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of electrical beds, operating tables, lifting devices (Floor and ceiling patient lifters), weight validation of ceiling tracks and various other medical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, both remotely and on-site, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Document and update equipment service records, including repair logs, maintenance schedules and spare parts inventories.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations and technological advancements in medical equipment servicing and repair.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Service technician or related field.
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment operations, troubleshooting techniques and repair procedures.
- A sound understanding of electronic and mechanical systems, including interpreting technical drawings.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with medical staff, engineers and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work on-call or extended hours if required.

**Salary**: $38.73 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
