Cabler and Field Technician

Location: Hobart, Tasmania

Employment Type: Casual (5 days per week) with potential for full-time

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cabler and Field Technician to join our team in the Hobart area. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to build your skills and grow into a rewarding and lucrative career.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Preparing tools and materials for work.

Installing conduits and cabling in new and existing buildings.

Installing electronic field equipment.

Assisting technicians in installing and servicing networking equipment and electronic system components.

Skills and Experience

Essential Skills:
Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.

Australian citizenship or valid work entitlement in Australia.

A positive, enthusiastic, and honest attitude with a willingness to learn.

Aptitude for new technologies and a readiness to undertake various tasks required by the role.

Experience with basic hand tools and power tools.

Valid Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Australian Driver’s Licence, including entitlement and capability to drive a manual vehicle.

Ability to meet the requirements of a National Police Check.

Desirable Skills:
Open Cabler Registration with endorsements in Structured and Fibre Optic Cabling.

Experience in similar roles or related industries.

Working with Children Card (or willingness to obtain one).
