ATCO owns and operates Western Australia's largest gas distribution network, with over 800,000 connection points and 14,500km of pipelines.

**What You Will Do**:

- Carry out maintenance and construction tasks on the gas distribution network, including valves and end-of-line facilities (e.g. meter sets, regulator sets, pressure reduction stations), aligned with our Asset Management Plan and capital works program.
- Collect gas samples for odorant and compositional analysis across the network to ensure safety and compliance.
- Conduct leak testing, valve isolation, purging, depressurisation, and venting to support safe and efficient maintenance of pipelines, systems, and equipment.
- Operate machinery, tools, and equipment in line with company policies and safety procedures.
- Inspect external gas distribution assets, reporting any issues related to corrosion, integrity, performance, or functionality in accordance with company protocols.
- Participate in the Facilities Maintenance team's 24/7 On-Call Roster, with a minimum commitment of 6 weeks per year.

**Exposure & Experience**

**Qualifications**:

- Hold a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Qualified Mechanical Fitter) preferred.

**Background**:

- Experienced maintenance technician in utilities or production, skilled in pipework assembly, inspections, and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of gas flow dynamics and plant operations is a plus, but not essential.
- Familiar with permit-to-work systems.
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Holds current First Aid, White Card, Confined Spaces and Basic Worksite Traffic Management certifications (highly desirable)
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
