Our client is a dynamic, multi-divisional business operating in the Real Estate / Accommodation & Lifestyle industry. Highly successful and multi award-winning, the business is comprised of 4 companies, across 3 different office locations and employs over 35 staff.
They are a fast paced, energetic group of professionals and are led from the front by an inspirational, philanthropic Director, who is engaging and empowers their staff.
**The Role**:
An opportunity has arisen for a proven performer to join the team working across the entire group. Working hand in hand with an external Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- All day-to-day accounts payable and receivable
- General accounts matters for the group including leave entitlements, payroll, commission payment and statements
- Company accounts preparation to BAS and lodge to the Accountant by the due dates
- Undertake analysis (including cashflow) to underpin effective business planning, forecasting, budgeting, cost reduction and resource management
- Identify opportunities by maintaining awareness of internal and external financial and economic trends, changes in financial management practice and standards
- Provide financial reports to the CEO and members of the senior leadership team, as well as managing Franchise returns
- Maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, banks, auditors and tax advisors and insurers
- Provide suggestion and oversight in supplier contract negotiation
- Drive technology improvements and systems upgrades.
**Specific requirements**:
This roll may suit a qualified individual who may currently be in a 2i/c roll in a large business and who is looking for career advancement to a Head of Finance position
- Demonstrated success of 3+ years' in a similar senior financial management position
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping (with a qualification such as CA or CPA preferred, but not essential)
- Capability to be hands on with all tasks from AP / AR, trusts and ledgers
- Self-driven, with the ability to work under pressure and be proactive with needs of the business
- Experience in the SME sector and/or real estate will be highly regarded
