**Reports to**: Operations Manager

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated **Disability Support Worker** to provide person-centred care and assistance to individuals living with disabilities in Logan, Gold Coast or Redland Bay. This role supports participants of the **National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)** to live independently, engage with their community, and achieve their personal goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide daily living support such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Assist with community participation, including transport to appointments, social activities, and recreational outings.
- Support clients in achieving goals outlined in their NDIS plans.
- Encourage and facilitate independence, choice, and control for clients.
- Monitor and report on clients' wellbeing and progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in line with NDIS requirements via Shift Care.
- Work collaboratively with clients and their families

**Essential Criteria**:

- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.

**Desirable**:

- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support or related field (or working towards).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience working in disability support or community services.
- Manual handling and medication administration training.
- Flexibility to work across various shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- Understanding of person-centred care and the NDIS Code of Conduct (training provided upon Induction).

Pay: From $31.76 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 7 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: On the road

Expected Start Date: 16/06/2025
