The National Tertiary Education Union (Victorian Division) covers members employed in universities, associated companies, research institutes, TAFE, student unions and adult and community education. The Union’s membership includes Academic, General, Research and Professional staff.
- Prepare and/or advocate cases before Fair Work Australia and other tribunals.
- Provide industrial advice to members, branches, and the division on industrial matters and disputes.
- Negotiate workplace grievances/issues and industrial disputes with management.
- Provide high-level technical support and lead major Enterprise Bargaining negotiations.

This position will complement an established industrial team in the Victorian Division Office.

The position will be filled at either NTEU Level 6 ($101,170 - $110,908) or NTEU Level 7 ($114,807 - $126,754) depending on skills and experience, plus 17% employer superannuation contributions. Terms and conditions for this position are covered by a national collective agreement that has terms comparable with NTEU members in the industry.

Applicants should demonstrate skills and experience in industrial relations and a commitment to the trade union movement. A law degree and legal experience whilst not essential, will be highly regarded.
