**About the Role**

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate **Support Worker** to assist a client living with a spinal cord injury in **Cessnock**. The client requires full support with all personal care tasks, including **bowel care**, **manual handling**, and other daily living supports.

This position begins with a regular **Wednesday shift (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM)**, with the goal of expanding to **daily supports**.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Full personal care including showering, grooming, and toileting
- Bowel care (training provided if required)
- Manual handling and transfers (hoist experience preferred)
- Light domestic assistance
- Supporting the client’s independence, dignity, and overall wellbeing

**Pay Rates - SCHADS Award E3.1 (Casual In-Home and SIL)**:
**Base hourly rate**: $35.15
**Afternoon shift (ends between 8 PM - midnight, Monday to Friday)**: $38.67
**Active night shift (finishes after midnight or starts before 6 AM, Monday to Friday)**: $39.37
**Saturday**: $49.21
**Sunday**: $63.27
**Public holiday**: $77.33
- All rates are before tax._

**Requirements**:

- Genuine, caring, and respectful approach
- Experience with personal care and manual handling
- Willingness to undertake bowel care training (if not already trained)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent
