Illustrator

Konami is seeking an Illustrator to join our growing Australian graphics team, supporting initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the world’s most iconic entertainment brands, known for its innovation in gaming, amusement, and digital entertainment

The Illustrator will be responsible for creating game content and some promotional artwork. You will work closely with Game Designers, Animators and Software Engineers to ensure any created content represents our overall game design vision.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- The conceptualisation and creation of quality, original and marketable visual themes.
- Design and illustration of digital game content.
- Preparing & optimising game assets using in-house processes.
- Collation and archiving of all created artwork assets.
- Attending gaming expos & field research trips.
- Develop high-quality illustrations for characters, environments, props, and UI elements
- Translate game design briefs into compelling visual concepts and storyboards
- Collaborate with game designers, animators, and developers to ensure visual consistency
- Create promotional artwork for marketing campaigns, packaging, and digital storefronts
- Maintain and organize asset libraries and production documentation
- Revise artwork based on feedback from leads and stakeholders
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and techniques

- A strong portfolio showing skills in conceptualisation and illustration of original themes.
- Minimum 2+ years professional experience in a similar role.
- Applicants with a strong portfolio may forgo the minimum experience requirements.
- Advanced working knowledge with the Adobe creative suite is a must.
- Ability to work in a team, understand design objectives and communicate effectively.
- Capacity to respond quickly to both artistic and technical requirements.
- Experience with animation, 3D modelling, and video editing tools will be highly regarded.
- Exposure to working in an Agile environment is a plus but not essential
