**The Role**
As the full time Night Manager, you will support the team in the smooth running of the Hotel during the night shift, and in the absence of the Night Manager take charge of the shift. This role includes completing Reception duties, auditing of the hotel’s daily transactions, preparation of daily reports, ensuring the safety and security of guests and employees, ensuring RSA laws are adhered to and overall responsibility of other departments in the hotel.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Host our Guests BRILLIANTLY by welcoming all guests using a professional yet friendly manner
Check-in/Check-out guests, answer calls from both in-house and outside guests_._
To accurately collate and audit all cashiering shifts and pass all relevant information to the Finance Department.
To maintain the security of the Hotel, room floors, F&B outlets, guest vehicles and all hotel guests at all times, especially in the situation of fire or other natural disasters. Conduct scheduled security walks.
Allocate and oversee the completion of the Night Auditor/Night Porter duties.
Have a thorough working knowledge on WHS procedures, ensuring that all Night Staff on shift/site are familiar with these.
Problems pertaining to maintenance to which you must attend include such things as; Air-conditioning failures, Electrical faults, leaks, burst pipes, water problems, refrigeration problems, etc. If after hours, check how serious the situation is and, if necessary, call the Maintenance Staff. Record in Duty managers Log for attention in the morning.
Preparation and delivery of room service. Obtain training as and when being notified of any menu changes. Notify relevant HODs if the food preparation and delivery items and condiments are not pre-arranged prior.
**To be Brilliant you will have**:
The role involves basic accounting and data entry, therefore computer literacy is essential
Have fantastic time management skills with the ability to multi task and prioritise according to the hotel’s daily requirements
Accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work
Have experience with conflict resolution and guest complaints and the ability to create personal connections with guests
Have excellent oral and written communication skills
Competent with OPERA Software or similar
Ability to effectively work independently and also part of a team
Flexibility with working weekends
An up to date RSA and drivers Licence
The ability to work evening shifts 11pm - 7am over a rotating roster as per business needs
Previous Night Audit experience an advantage
