Room Leaders

We seek an experienced and passionate Diploma Qualified Room Leader to join a vibrant early-years learning service. Our highly regarded client has two full roles available, one for the Nursery and the other for the toddler age group. Note that this role is technically in Deepdene but sometimes Indeed does not recognise Deepdene to be a location. Balwyn is a 2 min drive from Deepdene.

You will join a state-of-the-art service - one that is architecturally designed with generous play spaces offering abundant natural light and opportunities for play-based exploration for children under five. Mirroring their methodology for learning with unique and sustainable resources that encourage a sense of self-awareness and community engagement, learning environments are open-plan and inviting.

The emergent curriculum offered by the service integrates elements of literacy, numeracy, science, music, social awareness, emotional intelligence and language development into a typical week. There is also access to a weekly visit from an Artist for creative art experiences and a qualified sports coach for an opportunity to work on motor skills.

**What we are looking for**:

- Experience leading a room in a a long day care setting
- A completed ACECQA-approved Early Childhood related Diploma (or above)
- Sound knowledge of relevant learning frameworks
- A confident communicator who is team-orientated.
- Excellent programming and observation skills
- Working With Children Check (Employer)
- Ability to work full-time to a rotating roster
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management (Requirement)

**Salary**: $29.00 - $34.00 per hour
