**ABOUT THE JOB**:
Werribee Mercy Hospital (WMH) is a public hospital servicing the growing community of the West. Our service is growing and we are seeking experienced Patient Services Assistants to join our Environmental Services team in the newly opened Endoscopy Hub at Werribee Mercy Hospital. This is a part of a new government-funded initiative that will provide Endoscopy care to patients from the West Metro Health Service Partnership (WMHSP). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the new team that will be responsible for providing high quality endoscopy to patients who have had their care deferred because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a valued member of our team, the Patient Services Assistant staff will be responsible for the upkeep of the patient environment with a strong attention to detailed cleaning duties, distribution of patient food and beverages, transportation of patients and other patient support duties. You will have a strong understanding of the Victorian Public Health Cleaning and Food Safety standards. Summary of the role:

- Permanent Full-Time, Part-Time positions available.
- Monday to Friday shifts.
- Morning and Afternoon shifts available.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- A Certificate 3 Health Services, or equivalent, or working towards completing.
- Current Food Handling Certificate.
- Excellent customer service skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.
- Highly developed verbal and written skills.
- Ability to understand Patient diet codes and principles for safe delivery of meals.
- A commitment to policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff and members of the public.
