An opportunity has arisen for a **Maintenance Fitter** to join the Opal Athol Park team reporting to the Engineering Manager.

The objective of the role is to ensure all site maintenance and corrective tasks are carried out to ensure reliability of plant and equipment. The person will also be required to support and undertake maintenance and engineering projects to continuously improve both the capability and reliability of the business.

The Maintenance Fitter role includes but is not limited to:

- Undertake preventative & reactive maintenance to achieve optimal operational requirements whilst maintaining safe work practices without supervision.
- Initiate/complete work orders and ensure timely sign off / close off for completed work along with relevant feedback information and other reports as required.
- Attend breakdowns in a timely & efficient manner and resolve operational or technical problems to minimise business interruptions resulting from equipment breakdowns/failures.
- Provide trouble-shooting expertise as required.
- Perform modification work as well as general facility maintenance.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and assist in the development of job procedures as required.
- Supervise apprentices as required.

- Trade qualified fitter or equivalent
- Knowledge & experience in safe working practices/procedures
- Previous Manufacturing Fitter experience
- Ability to understand technical drawings
- Competent computer skills
- Ability to lead self & work autonomously and in a team environment
- Team Player, trustworthy and great work ethic
- Quick learner
