Due to internal development, here at Simplot we're seeking applicants for the full-time, permanent position of Electrical Team Lead to join our team at our newly redeveloped food manufacturing facility, Simplot Bathurst - the home of Chiko Roll.

Simplot Bathurst employs over 250 people and having been a part of the local community since 1926, continues to produce Edgell products, as well as products for Birds Eye and Chiko. An investment of $90 million has recently been completed at the site, transforming Simplot Bathurst into a frozen vegetable centre of excellence, enabling increased production capacity, and ultimately helping to boost local and export volumes.

**What You Will Do**:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrical Team Lead will direct & lead a team of trade qualified electrical staff (day & shift workers + apprentices & contract labour) to meet the site’s production and maintenance schedules in order to optimise plant reliability, minimise costs and improve employee safety. The Electrical Team Lead is also required to coordinate external resources for the completion of site critical work. Duties will include but are not limited to;
- Coordinate and supervise the safe and effective execution of planned maintenance work in accordance with the maintenance schedule
- Lead the electrical maintenance team to ensure that KPI targets are continuously met, and implement corrective actions (if necessary)
- Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely manner, whilst ensuring compliance to company OHS&E procedures, such as JHA, Take 5, special permit requirements etc
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to the electrical team members
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Planners and production department to coordinate & supervise the execution of opportunity work activities
- Facilitate external contractors (where required)
- Participate and contribute to site continuous improvement (CI) activities
- Contribute to the site’s reliability strategy by providing technical inputs to maintenance planning & scheduling
- Provide data & metrics to the Maintenance Manager
- Work with CITECT & Ignition SCADA systems
