**The organisation**
The Housing Industry Association is Australia's peak private sector building industry body, representing builders, trade contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and related industry participants. As a national industry organisation, HIA's primary role is to represent and advance the interests of its members.
**The role**:
This role ensures that HIA in Tasmania is the voice of the residential building industry and the building practitioner’s indispensable business partner. The position services Hobart and Launceston and surrounding areas including the North West, based out of Hobart
- Have an overarching focus on service to
- guides practices and standards;
- identify potential HIA members through HIA events and activities;
- Support HIA’s National sales strategies and programs and promoting the use of HIA’s products and services to members and potential members; and
- Maintain a current understanding of industry issues, builders’ registration, licensing requirements and local conditions.
***To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate**:
- Sales and client management experience to identify and realise commercial opportunities and plan and deliver targeted results;
- High standards of verbal and written communication. and administrative skills;
- Computer literacy with experience using MS Office products CRM databases;
- being highly motivated, extremely organised and results oriented; and
- Self-motivation with the ability to work within a team environment.
Knowledge of the construction sector or experience with a member organisation would be viewed favourably.
