Montessori Care is a registered NDIS service provider of in-home aged care and disability supports.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic Support Workers to join our diverse team in Sydney's Upper North Shore.
**The role**:
As a Support Worker, you will provide direct support to individuals with disabilities or aged care needs. You will play a vital role in promoting their independence, assisting with daily activities and supporting the choices they make.
By combining traditional care with Montessori principles and methods, you will deliver support that truly respects each person's unique abilities, needs and preferences.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide personal, physical, emotional and social support using a person-centered approach.
- Support daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, medications and personal errands.
- Assist with domestic activities such as cleaning, laundry and household tasks to maintain a comfortable living environment.
- Encourage meaningful engagement by facilitating participation in social/recreational activities, community access and building healthy relationships.
- Support effective communication and decision-making to promote independence and wellbeing.
**Requirements**:
- NDIS Worker Check.
- First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Working with Children Check.
- Drivers licence (preferred).
- Qualifications in Disability/Aged Care or relevant fields, or previous experience is highly valued.
- Empathy and understanding of diverse needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
