We are currently looking for a Study Manager to join our team based in Brisbane Global Head Office to support our continued success and growth. Last year Ausenco reported our best financial performance to date, and we are on track to significantly improve on this in the coming year ahead.

This role will be responsible for the delivery of study projects, on time, within budget and to meet the requirements of both Ausenco and our clients. Our portfolio includes our renowned Gold & Copper Concentrators through to complex hydrometallurgy battery minerals engineering across APAC/Africa. You will join a team that includes multiple Subject Matter Experts including working with out in house Technical Solutions Group. Our projects are presented differently with our design being both unique and bespoke. From the technology we use, to where we can design our plants to operate. We have commissioned plants on the side of mountains and regularly in challenging terrains that our competition will not attempt.

**About the role**
- Maintain our high quality of studies output by ensuring the planning, coordinating and managing of resources, technical quality, and study progress
- Formulate effective business cases through bringing together technical knowledge and commercial concepts
- Develop a healthy opportunity pipeline for the base metals, gold and minerals mining market, seeking out new opportunities through networking, referrals and market research
- Manage existing client relationships to maximise business opportunities for Ausenco
- Achieve and maintain timely reporting and quality study documentation
- Ensure Ausenco’s study guidelines and procedures are followed
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the studies department to promote the delivery of best practice solutions
- Deliver studies on time and within the budget agreed between the client and Ausenco
- Deliver successful commercial outcomes for studies
- Significant mining industry experience in the development, delivery and operation of mining or mineral processing studies and projects

**About you**
- Demonstratable experience and provable success in leading studies - (Studies Engineer, Lead Process Engineer on a study or a Study Manager)
- A solid career history working on studies within engineering companies, on client/owner’s team or been a study manager, area manager, engineering manager or lead engineer on several projects/studies
- An established contact network within designated market (base metals and minerals) would be a major advantage
- Ability to identify opportunities and actively pursue and convert leads
- Willingness to travel when required.
- Strong base metals, gold, and minerals processing experience
- Membership of AusIMM, CIM or other professional association - an advantage
- Knowledge of total mining project definition and scope, from resource definition, mine planning, minerals processing, project implementation and construction - an advantage
