If & When turns scrolls into stories. Our small but mighty team creates social-first campaigns for e-commerce, property, hospitality and lifestyle brands. We combine brave creative with sharp data, and we’re looking for a visual content lead who can elevate our work even further.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, the Lead Videographer & Photographer owns all moving
- and still-image production for client campaigns. You’ll direct shoots, manage your kit and contractors, and keep the team ahead of platform trends. The role suits a highly organised shooter who loves both the creative and the logistics.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Lead Shoots** - work with senior team members in the scope, schedule and budget; build Milanote boards, shot lists and storyboards; book crew, talent, locations and travel.
- **Capture Content** - film and photograph product, lifestyle, corporate and UGC-style assets, often switching seamlessly between formats on the day.
- **On-Set Direction** - brief clients and talent, solve technical issues quickly, maintain a safe and efficient set.
- **File Management** - ingest, tag and archive footage on Dropbox; supply editors with well-organised assets.
- **Post-Production Oversight** - complete rough edits or colour grades when required; provide clear feedback to in-house editors.
- **Trend & Tech Leadership** - trial new formats (vertical, drone, AI tools); present insights at monthly team sessions.
- **Talent Development** - mentor junior shooters and brief interstate freelancers to maintain consistent quality.
**Skills & Experience**
- 2-4+ years shooting and directing in an agency, production studio or robust freelance practice.
- Strong portfolio covering both photography and videography for social and paid media (product, lifestyle and real-estate content highly regarded).
- Advanced knowledge of camera, lighting and audio gear; ability to troubleshoot on set; ownership and upkeep of your main kit.
- Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere plus Lightroom / Capture One; colour-grading experience is a bonus.
- Confident client communicator who can translate brand goals into creative direction.
- Up-to-date understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels and emerging editing trends.
- Ability to travel interstate and manage external crews when required.
**Nice-to-Have**
- Drone licence (RePL)
- Experience with motion graphics or simple 3D/AI-generated assets
- Real-estate or hospitality shoot background

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
