**About the Assignment**

Reporting to a Purchasing Lead, you will operate from Santos’ global head office in Adelaide in a dynamic and inclusive team. Your role will be to support the existing team in improving purchasing efficiencies in SAP as well as supporting with the day-to-day workload.

In return, you will develop operational skills within a word-class supply chain environment, with exposure to all areas of Santos. You will also be under the guidance of an experienced team who are genuinely supportive of your career development.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Review potential vendors, assist in contract negotiations and expedite materials and services for stakeholders
- Provide support to supply chain initiatives focus on the minimization of waste and supply chain efficiency
- Assist with troubleshooting purchasing and supply chain issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders across the globe, to deliver integrated supply chain solutions
- Support the supply chain leadership team, ensure supplier performance achievement, and cost, delivery and quality targets are met

- A proactive and ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to problem solve and a high level of attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing

**Mandatory Tickets / Quals / Certs**
- A degree in Business, Logistics & Supply Chain, Commerce or Law.
- Experience in similar role within a large organization.
