Operating across 130+ stores nationally, our client is an Australian household name that caters for the whole family across a broad range of general merchandise products. This role will be pivotal in developing and driving the 5 year strategy for the Personal Care and Beauty department. Looking after a host of National Brands but also developing a strong Private Label collection this role will oversee both the look and feel of the products and own the space in store.

They will be responsible for identifying new trends in beauty to ensure commercial ranges are brought into the business. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the overall direction of buying, planning, promotional planning and execution to achieve sales and profitability targets.

**Key requirements**:

- Previous experience buying a successful shop in shop for Personal care / Beauty or similar product category
- Experience operating at an established Senior level managing a large product team
- Strong hands-on department management experience; OTB, product development and critical path, supply base, trading, working cross-functionally with e-commerce and marketing teams
- Management experience of direct reports; training and developing
- Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management both internally and externally
- MS Office and IT skills
- Proven branded buying experience
- Previous experience in a management role
- Excellent knowledge of the apparel market, brands, and trends
- The ability to manage and maintain supplier relationships
- A passion for driving sales and achieving profit margins
- A highly driven and motivated person
