Alzheimer's Queensland (AQ) is a not for profit organisation that prides itself on being an innovative organisation that exceeds client's expectations, so that people with dementia, the frail aged and their families can have an improved quality of life.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Laundry Assistant to join our dedicated team at Garden City Aged Care Services in Mt Gravatt.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and personal clothing items according to established protocols.
- Ensure all laundry is handled in a manner that maintains hygiene and prevents cross-contamination.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and irons.
- Monitor and manage laundry supplies, including detergents and fabric softeners, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that laundry needs are met in a timely manner.
- Adhere to safety and infection control standards at all times.
- Provide exceptional service and support to clients, maintaining their dignity and comfort.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow specific instructions and protocols.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Compassionate and respectful attitude towards individuals living with dementia.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends if required.
